Dynasty warriors 9 review7/27/2023 ![]() ![]() There's still some good historical hack and slash fun to be had here, so I give it a thumbs up for those that are fans of the series. Factor in an unconvincing combat system that's been overhauled, and you've got a Dynasty Warriors title that may or may not disappoint the most dedicated of fans. For every interesting story moment or interaction, there's a horribly ugly graphical glitch. For every gloriously huge battle there's a boring stint of traversal across a dreadfully barren map. Dynasty Warriors 9 goes open world and the result is a game of extreme ups and downs. Dynasty Warriors has been on a steady run since Dynasty Warriors 7, and now it's on a slight decline again. It's so bad at times that it goes beyond being a joke and simply cheapens the overall experience (Resident Evil on PS1 comes to mind). Many of the new voices barely fit the characters that they're assigned to, and the delivery is very often painful. Now it sounds like dozens of characters have been voiced by two different people. However, this isn't the case with Dynasty Warriors 9 which has thrown all the old voices out the window. Dynasty Warriors is back and quite frankly it is very well known for its sometimes hilariously camp English voice acting, but recent Dynasty Warriors is back and quite frankly it is very well known for its sometimes hilariously camp English voice acting, but recent instalments have featured decent work.
